Galeries Lafayette
Galeries Lafayette are the most famous Parisian department stores, which have been delighting their Guests and providing unforgettable experiences for over 120 years. The origins of the company date back to 1894, when Théophile Bader and his cousin Alphonse Kahn opened a small haberdashery on the corner of La Fayette and de la Chaussee-d'Antin streets. The 10-storey shopping gallery is located on Haussmann Boulevard in the 9th district of Paris. The building was built in the secessionist style, the interior was decorated in Art Nouveau style, while balconies were designed on the model of the opera in Paris. The building is crowned with a stunning glass ceiling and the roof terrace allows to admire the capital.
In France alone there are now 57 galleries and abroad 4 - in Berlin, Dubai, Jakarta and Beijing. The key concept of Galeries Lafayette is to promote "the French Art of Living."
In galleries we will purchase creations of the best fashion designers, luxury cosmetics, jewellery, accessories, home furnishings and food products. A visit to the Galeries Lafayette in Paris is equally mandatory and amazing as a tour of the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower.
