The main objective of the International Day of Blogging, celebrated since 2006, is a worldwide celebration, promotion and popularization of the blogosphere and the blogging, presentation of new sources of information and entertainment to the readers, as well as raising their interest in other cultures.
Bloggers are encouraged on this day to find five interesting blogs (preferably from different parts of the world with completely different themes), and to recommend them to their readers. This way, collaboration between the authors of blogs is also promoted.
