13-16th August 2015 (Thursday-Sunday) - the 9th Polish National Festival of Good Taste (Ogólnopolski Festiwal Dobrego Smaku) - Poznań.
The main venue of the festival events was as usually the Old Market Square in Poznań. This is where one of the most important elements of the Festival takes place - the great Fair of Good Taste. More than 140 exhibitors presented their products. Among them were not only producers of regional specialties such as cheese, meat, bread, honey, fish or tinctures from almost all Polish regions, but also importers of Italian truffles, Austrian wines, Hungarian products, Turkish and Greek halva or high-quality Italian olive oil.
On the festival stage throughout the day were held culinary demonstrations and presentations and in the evenings resounded jazz, Georgian folk and classical music.
Polish National Festival of Good Taste, however, is much more than the Fair of Good Taste. Culinary competitions, including the largest domestic liquors tournament - Polish Tincture of the Year, laboratories of taste, workshops for children and adults, meetings with culinary personalities and themed suppers were just some of the attractions planned by the organizers.
One of the most interesting events of this year's Festival was the project 'Table of Mieszko and Dobrawa' showing the culinary habits and traditions in the times of first Polish kings.
Among the festival guests, speakers and competition judges were: Piotr Bikont, Grzegorz Łapanowski, Paweł Loroch, and Robert Makłowicz.
